Great food, service, and experience! Will definitely be back and recommend to others.

I booked a weekend dinner reservation to Red Ash two months in advance, and after much anticipation, the wait was absolutely worth it. Ambiance: Dim, romantic lighting, awesome open space with a built in 2 story deck above the bar, a large wine glass cellar, and a wood-fired oven for all to see. Food: We were torn about what to order, given the fresh pasta is made in-house, seafood is shipped from the Atlantic, and the bread is flown in from a bakery in New Jersey. After some deliberation, we settled on the Red Snapper Crudo, Octopus a la Plancha, Wood Roasted Bone Marrow, Sweet Corn Risotto, and the Frutti di Mare. We started with the crudo, which was refreshing and light. It was also the perfect way to ease into our rich and decadent experience for the remainder of the evening. We were unsure if we'd ordered too much or too little, but it turned out to be just right. If you're celebrating a special occasion, they also offer a complimentary dessert. Bonuses: Some dishes can be ordered as half portions and are noted on the menu. Substitutes can be made, as long as you ask! Lastly, I love how they have an After Dinner menu, which is a great touch and makes you want to linger and enjoy the evening even more.

My favorite restaurant in Austin! Every drink they make is fantastic (excellent dirty martini) The wood fired bread to start is heaven. Everything is made fresh in house. You literally cannot choose wrong. The staff are attentive and friendly. Our water was almost always full. The versatile space is great for a business meeting or romantic dinner.

Red Ash was great! We didn't have reservations, but we called ahead and were still able to get seated at the bar. The bar service was great, and they were very attentive to refilling our drinks and taking plates out of the way. The ambiance was also lovely. There was dim lighting, and the restaurant was full of lively chatter. We ordered the 10oz filet topped with crab and cheese fondue and the seafood pasta, along with the garlic bread for an appetizer and the white peach sorbet and chocolate molten cake with ice cream for dessert. The filet was great. It was one of the most tender steaks I've ever had, but it lacked a bit of flavor and seasoning. The crab and cheese fondue was overpowering to the flavor of the steak, and I would recommend ordering the steak without it. The garlic bread was fresh and crispy, and the garlic spread was delicious. I would recommend ordering that as an appetizer. The pieces are big, and the pricing is per piece. The seafood pasta was great as well. It had a spicy marinara sauce and had lots of seafood. For dessert, the white peach sorbet is cheap, but nothing to write home about. It has chunks of white peach within it which is pleasant, but it has a strange flavor. I would not order it again. The chocolate molten cake was a standout. It had peanut butter and chocolate in the middle, and I enjoyed that the ice cream was placed on the side to avoid it melting. It tasted slightly of coconut and was a nice and refreshing contrast to the heaviness of the cake. Together, they were a delicious combo. If I were to go back, I would get the bread, cake, and steak again. The bone marrow also looked delicious, so that's on my list to try next visit. 10/10 recommend for a nice date night or a night out with friends. It is also a great spot to celebrate a birthday, graduation, or special occasion. I will be back.

The food was amazing!!! Ambiance was everything.. and we were checked in and seated very quickly. I've already booked my next reservation for here.

The pasta here was very good! Love the lobster scampi dish. The red sauce was delicious and creamy enough. Some of the steak pieces were a bit tough. Some were tender and juicy though. I didn't like the crudo much as it was a bit salty for my taste. The octopus was too rubbery. I liked the bone marrow though! Their garlic bread is to die for. I would definitely come back to try more pasta dishes. Cute vibe inside with nice low lighting. There is valet parking available for $15. Excellent service, 10/10. Our waiter was so sweet and knowledgeable regarding the menu. Water was constantly refilled.

I came to Red Ash for my birthday dinner. The service was phenomenal. We sat down and received our cocktails shortly after. We were given Italian bread, which was very good. Our waitress suggested that we try the wood roasted vine tomatoes and burrata. It was delicious with the Italian bread. We ordered the agnolotti alla piemontese and potato gnocchi gratinata to share as a main course. I enjoyed the truffles and veal jus with the agnolotti. It paired very well. The sauce with the gnocchi was so rich and creamy. The gnocchi was the perfect texture. For our dessert, we ordered the hot chocolate gianduja cake. I loved the combination of chocolate/peanut butter and gelato. Red Ash is one of my favorite restaurants in Austin.

Happy to check this Italian restaurant for the first time! They were closed for months due to a fire in Sept 2023. They are known for their fresh handmade pastas and they also have steak. The pastas we got are all super delicious but the standout for me was the tagliolini with fresh blue crab. It was a perfect mixture of sweet, salty, sour, with a hint of spice. Don't forget dessert! We got tiramisu-I felt that there is too much cream on it, but it was still enjoyable. I was so full that we took it to-go. The server packed it up for us in a container and bag! I like the layout of the space and that I can see the upstairs from below. Great place with delicious food, perfect for a date or a celebration! Make reservations early because only 9 PM options are available until September. (I made a reservation for Red Ash 3 months ago.)

Snagged a last minute reservation on OpenTable at the bar. Our server/bartender was very nice, helpful when it came to helping my vegan boyfriend find options. He wasn't originally coming with me but my sister couldn't make it. We knew the menu did not denote vegan options so we hoped they would accommodate. The bread can be vegan without the spread they add and olive/oil and balsamic instead. For entree spaghetti with no cheese and the vegetable platter. He wasn't very hungry and only ordered the veggie platter. Listen I know it sounds insane to just order veggies but they actually were very good seasoned well. Not many options for vegans but it is what it is. For myself I ordered the Snapper Crudo, very good & light. The bread with garlic spread was amazing and finished with the Agnolotti Alla Piemontese which had a nice truffle taste. Place was cute interior, very loud and lively.

This place is consistently amazing. The service, food, presentation, menu selection, & ambiance is always spot on. It is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or Friday night date night.
